I am absolutely satisfied with my decision to hire Steven Stolar and his team for my child custody case. I was nervous, afraid and scared that I was going to fall apart through all of this legal stuff. Steven and his team did everything they could for me. A very dishonest Attorney who will take your money and waste your time. Steven will tell you the world and it will mean nothing after he received your retainer normally 8000.00. He will not even go to Court . A lying bum!. If you went into a bank and took 8000.00 you would go to jail. Not Steven. He can lie, cheat and steal and get away with it.

I hired Mr. Stolar and his firm for an out of state move away request. I appreciated his honesty during this process. From the beginning Mr. Stolar and his associates were honest with me as they explained that move away requests are very hard to grant but they will do their very best to help me if I decided to retain him. I can honestly say that Mr. Stolar and his team really know what they are doing and I know they did their absolute best to help me. In the end of this long battle my move away was granted and I was able to relocate out of state with my children. The retainer was high, but well worth it. Mr. Stolar was always fair with me with the billing and answered all my questions promptly. If you are looking for a dedicated, honest attorney that really knows what they are doing I would highly recommend Mr. Stolar. He helped me tremendously.

Robert Curtis is amazing! He helped me out with my child custody case which as a single father can be a tough thing to win. However, he did an amazing job presenting facts and they ALWAYS kept the best interest for my kids in mind. JENNY IS THE BEST!! I called and met with other lawyers and got the vibe that all they wanted was my money and didn't care about my situation. Not only did I feel the genuine intent to be helped here but they kept me informed all the way. I would strongly recommend anyone in a similar situation to give them a call. When I was searching for a divorce attorney, I was so confused and unsure of who to hire as many attorneys give you false promises, make you feel uneasy, or charge so much. At Stolar everyone is friendly and intelligent! My initial contact was with Jenny, the receptionist, over the phone. She was very warm, welcoming, intelligent, and compassionate. Her attitude is amazing! I felt comfortable making an appointment with her to met Mr. Curtis the attorney. Mr. Curtis was also welcoming, answered all my questions, and even gave me some ideas on how we will be moving forward with my case. I would give Steven Stolar a negative star rating if it was an option based on the following: I was deployed overseas in a war zone when my wife went sideways and it left me in a very vulnerable position to vet any legal counsel, let alone defend myself. So, taking a chance I hired Steven Stolar to handle my divorce.Stolar pawned my case off on an inexperienced, and newly minted attorney who soon quit his law office for a better job.Next, Stolar assigned my case to another associate who was disbarred and wasnt licensed to practice law!Finally, he gave my case to a third subordinate who when I eventually returned to the States found that my case had been comingled with another divorce case client whose name was similar!I suffered a huge loss due to the incompetence of Stolar & Associates which included, but was not limited to egregious alimony, lost most of my parents inheritance, and sanctions. Its embarrassing to think about what I originally paid Stolar in attorney fees, and even after all the above he demanded more in attorney fees to continue representing me!Take your business elsewhere. This man has no honor, and is incompetent to say the least.Update: several years later I offered Mr. Stolar the opportunity to make good on the disastrous outcome of my case and he stated that he would represent me, but wanted more money, and that I must make a retraction of my review.This review is accurate and honest of the way my case was handled. No more money, and no retraction. BEWARE of this outfit!

I normally don't take the time to write reviews but I feel compelled to not only write this review but tell a story, My story. About 1 year ago I moved to California for work, my marriage was on the rocks and I was hoping the change would save it. Unfortunately shortly after arriving to CA I was served with legal separation and my 21/2 year old daughter was taken from my home. I was given limited visitation for no reason and was bombarded with bills as my wife refused to seek employment. I hired and fired my first attorney who from my perspective was a waste of money. I saw the reviews on Stolar and Fisher and decided to give them a call. From the beginning Steven Stolar and his entire team Robert Curtis, Jenny and Gabby were very understanding of my dilemma and worked feverishly to get me the award I deserved, I have this spectacular team to thank for giving me my daughter and life back! They are the best!

I met with Steven Stolar knowing that my case was definitely not going to be their most important, but I was very interested in finding a lawyer that had experience dealing with Parental Alienation. After the initial consultation of these unpleasant and sensitive matters I definitely felt a mutual trust - which was very reassuring. It was a complicated case and we proceeded with reasonable expectations, but the final results far exceeded those expectations. Through the process I quickly developed a level of trust with my representation that stressing was no longer necessary. ALL of my concerns were addressed and I was kept very informed.My Ex was very disappointed with the fair outcome. However, that is only a result of my lawyer proceeding as a gentleman looking out for the best interests of the child involved. HONEST,When I was searching for a divorce attorney, I called between 20 and 30 law offices all over LA County. I found a few different types of law offices. The offices that are honest, but couldn't take my case due to location; but they were willing to offer advice about what I should look for in an attorney. All the honest attorneys said the same thing; 'look at the price'. They said anything under $300 per hour are likely to drain your accounts by making the divorce take forever, simply because it is easier to get a large paycheck in this way. Anything over $350 an hour are likely more honest because they know they cant keep you on as long. This is what I found with Stolar & Fischer. I don't make a lot of money, so during the time that I was able to afford their services, they not only did an amazing job, but gave me the knowledge that I needed to move on, and never once put my kids last. They were (and are still) their number one priority. My divorce wasn't going to be easy from the beginning, and I knew it. For about 3 weeks, I spent several days a week speaking to the law office getting a feel for how they worked. Never once did they push me into signing a deal with them. I didn't feel like I was speaking to a sales man, but instead someone that even stated that divorce sucks, and it shouldn't be an easy choice for anyone. When I did finally hire Stolar & Fischer, they told me the best thing I could have ever heard, 'don't ever make us lie for you'. Honesty is my life, and that is the only kind of office I could ever work with or pay my hard earned money to.I have worked with Mrs. Amir (who is no longer there) and Mr. Curtis. Both have an amazing portfolio, and both know their stuff. They don't play games, and are genuine people to work with. Mrs. Amir called me one day when we seemed to be getting nowhere with the other party; who was and is harder to work with than molding hardened cement, and proceeded to tell me that she felt guilty taking my money. She stated that I would be better off on my own, at least until the final hearing. I have since hired them again for another matter, and plan on hiring them again to finish the divorce. So once again, It may not be your cheapest bet, but this law firm is your best bet. They are honest, trustworthy, compassionate, caring, and far from money hungry attorneys that everyone is always afraid of.

I find Robert Curtis and his team to be the most unprofessional people in the law profession. From making numerous mistakes just in paper work, which shows the lack of interest and lack of importance towards the case, to trying to grand stand the opposite party. Falsely accusing the opposite party for mistakes made on his end as an attorney. The most unprofessional demeanor, threatening the opposite party outside of the court room. I cant imagine putting my case into the hands of someone whom will falsely accuse someone else just to cover his own mistakes. I would never put my case in the hands of anyone at this firm
